If you want your wine reviewed, we can do so free of charge* for you here on The Shiraz Guide. At this time, we’re only review wines in Australia. If you’re an overseas winery, we can still review your bottle of wine however our tasting team is located in South Australia, so you will be responsible for international shipping to be able to do so. We can review any variety of wine, and you receive a featured blog post here on The Shiraz Guide as well as a section in our soon to be released tastings database which will allow users to also add their own ratings and tasting notes. Each wine review can be accompanied by your winery and ordering information.
Please send us an email to reviews@shiraz.us and let us know what you’re sending us, and also attach any ordering forms, winery information, information on the wine being sent, web links, and any media or photography of the bottle or your winery you may have to be published alongside your review.- We require a single bottle only, however if your wine is sealed under cork you can send an additional bottle “just in case”. Any additional bottles sent that are unused will be given away** to readers and users of The Shiraz Guide as part of a newsletter or website promotion, and your winery will be listed as a sponsor and any order forms you’ve provided us with will be sent out with the prize.
- You can mail us up to three different varieties/bottles in a 2 month period, unless otherwise arranged. We can make arrangements for a complete vertical or horizontal tasting at your request.
- Your wine will be reviewed by two tasters, who will be selected either from our internal staff, local experts, or a mixture of both. We will email you a copy of your wine review two working days before it is published as a courtesy to check your winery contact details are correct and that there are no factual errors. Our reviews however, will be unbiased and we wont make “corrections” at whim.
- If you don’t have photography of your bottle, we’ll take it for you free of charge. However, we recommend the bottles you send be as pristine as possible with no label damage, blemishes, bottle seams in the middle of labels and so forth. If your bottle usually comes in a display case, please ensure the case is in good condition.
